Q: I don’t like diets, they never work for me.

I agree, “diets” don’t work. This program is about creating the foundation for a healthy lifestyle. It’s the opposite of dieting. It’s about changing your relationship with food and exercise for good. We focus on 21 days because that’s how long it takes to start to get serious leverage to start making or breaking a habit.

Q: I don’t like the idea of a shake, I want real food.

Our program is all about healthy whole food and good nutrition. Most shakes don’t taste good, or aren’t filling, or have poor nutritional content. That’s why we use a legitimate meal replacement. If you were stranded in the desert and the only thing you had to live on was a protein shake, very quickly you’d become malnourished and eventually you’d die. With the meal replacement, we use you’d be just fine. There are a couple of other reasons why we are careful to use this meal replacement:

  • It tastes good. Most people feel it’s the best they’ve tasted and look forward to drinking it.
  • It’s versatile. You can mix pretty much anything into it. Some days I mix in nut butter and other days I add avocado or spinach.
  • It’s filling. I can easily go 4 hours before I need to have another meal.
  • It creates a calorie deficit. By replacing your regular meal with a high protein, low carb, low-calorie meal replacement, people see results which can help you stay in the game mentally.

Q: Who is this program for?

This program is for busy folks who are tired of the way they look and feel and tired of not getting results with their current routine.  If you are nervous about starting and needing the guidance of a coach and a program that will meet you where you are at then this program is for you.

Q: What if I haven’t exercised in years and I’m out of shape?

You don’t have to be in shape to get in shape! This program is for all levels of fitness as long as you aren’t afraid of a little hard work. We don’t follow the “no pain – no gain” mentality. We understand that your life does not revolve around your workouts and that some days you’ll feel better than others.  Fitness is a lifestyle, not a quick fix, so working smart and making consistent progress is key to your long-term success.

Q: Why does the GetFit21 plan only allows 3 meals per day with no snacking?

For years we have been taught the importance of eating every 2 1/2 to 3 hours or 5 to 6 meals a day. Scientific studies are now showing that going back to 3 square meals a day, without snacking in between is creating a fat burning window between meals.

Q: What is the 4:4:12 method? 

It’s the proper way to consistently eat 3 balanced meals a day. That’s 4 hours between breakfast and lunch, 4 hours between lunch and dinner and 12 hours between dinner and breakfast the next day.

Q: Why use the 4:4:12 method? 

Studies show that having a regular meal pattern helps lower your bodies insulin levels, which aids in burning fat. When your body has high insulin levels it cannot burn stored fat.

Q: What can I eat on this plan:

You are allowed to eat a variety of beans/legumes, whole grains, lean proteins, vegetables, fruits and healthy fats such as avocados, dairy, nuts, and seeds. You will be given our recipe ebook that contains over 200 recipes for breakfast, lunch, and suppers to choose from.

Q: Are cheat meals allows on this plan?

Yes, you are allowed to have 1 cheat meal per week, however, do not confuse that with a cheat day

Q: What do I do if I get hungry?

I personally believe that this is not actual hunger, but thirst or a habit (nighttime eating). What works for me is having a glass of water, drinking a cup of herbal tea (no caffeine) that is tasty to you (I like White Tea Pomegranate or Herbal Passion Tazo Tea), or brushing my teeth!

Q: My goal is to put on muscle, is this program right for me?

Absolutely. In this case, consuming 5-6 small meals completed with lean proteins, fruits, nuts/seeds, veggies and starchy carbs throughout the day is encouraged to reach your goals.
